Welcome to the 47th Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ), the annual convention of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec. The event includes three days of pre-convention activities and a two-day convention along with a trade fair. The theory presentations and hands-on courses offered are designed to meet your continuing education needs.
The JDIQ mobile application for smartphones and tablets will be available for download free of charge, in English and French. It lists all the lectures, speakers and activities during the convention, so you can put together a schedule and evaluate speakers.
We are very proud to welcome all members of the dental team, from researchers to general dentists and specialists and dental hygienists, assistants and technicians. It’s a great annual opportunity to reconnect and chat with colleagues!
This year, we are pleased to welcome members of the Association internationale des orthodontistes francophones. We invite French-speaking orthodontics specialists from all over the world to come meet us and take part in the JDIQ.
In addition, on Sunday, May 28, the Ordre des techniciens et techniciennes dentaires du Québec (OTTDQ) will be joining us for a day of joint convention activities, a first for the JDIQ. We are very proud to welcome all OTTDQ members.
During the JDIQ, you can benefit from theory and practical training given by renowned speakers from Canada and elsewhere. Their courses and workshops will deal with a variety of topics related to dentistry, and the scientific and technical advances that will influence current and future dental practice. The program drawn up by the members of the JDIQ Organizing Committee offers excellent continuing education opportunities for participants in all dental disciplines.
Our convention would not be complete without the participation of our commercial partners, who make an active contribution to the advancement and development of dentistry. I invite you to visit the exhibition room, where you will find an impressive variety of dental equipment, materials and instruments, all in the same place. It’s the perfect time to learn about the latest products and compare different equipment!
This kind of event calls for hard work by a great number of people. I want to thank the members of the Organizing Committee and all the JDIQ staff for their commitment. My thanks also to our speakers for their participation in the JDIQ and all our commercial partners for their support.
I wish you all an enjoyable time at the JDIQ and an excellent stay in Montreal, a wonderfully welcoming city, at this particularly pleasant time of year!
